American Fact Finder (AFF) - U.S. Census
From dataZoa Wiki
The US Census Bureau has officially de-commissioned (AFF) American Fact Finder effective March 31, 2020! Access to Census data must now all be done through their Census.gov API. Furthermore, as of now there are no effective data browsing tools at the Census that reliably identify their data locations. This all means...
- Existing dataZoa series must converted to use the new data pathways for Census data
- Use the dataZoaCensus API Browser to add new Series to dataZoa. There is no longer a spot at the Census to place a dz-Dot, so we provide a navigator to humanize the Census.gov API and help you identify and grab new Series for dataZoa!
When it comes to organizing data, every website has a different approach Sometimes it is not obvious how to get to the dZ-Dot data.
Use these Keytips to get right to the data you want, marked by the dZ-Dot...
Key Tips for AFF:
- Specify a location in the Community Facts search box
- Pick a Census and a categorization
- Ignore the Year selection (you'll get it all as a Series)
- Drag and Drop from any dZ-Dot (you'll get a Series for each column)
